This page is specifically for information concerning the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) concerned with site locations. PDC - Portland Saturday Market: Permanent Home Study; the PDC selected Consultant is Parametrix; Saturday Market website.

This part of the Ankeny/Burnside Development Framework is finished but see the Waterfront RFP which is the implementation stage of Phase I.

Hybrid options 7-14-6.

Yellow (Park) common to both, Hybrid A =Green + Yellow; B = Orange + Yellow

Latest Hybrid Options [handout] - consider with Revised Site Criteria of 10-20-5. A PDF of the PowerPoint presentation at the 8-17-06 meeting. Tabulation of comments (voting if you will) on Hybrid A or B.

The neat umbrella. A means of providing cover or protection for Market vendors and attendees. This in lieu of the Burnside Bridge. Of course it not called an umbrella - it is a Collapsable/Moveable Market Structure. [Vancouver, Canada]. From the left the right - the umbrella is shown with its single coverage - umbrellas folded in its in ground holder - lastly umbrellas arranged to form a larger coverage.

It is not clear how the announced cancellation of the relocation of Firestation #1 will affect the Market. It should put PDC s focus on the Market. It is highly unlikely that the Public Market will fit in the area.

Private developers still have their eyes on the Skidmore building and lots around it and the lot west across the tracks.

Saturday Market still owns the Skidmore Building and adjacent lot north. It was designed at one time to be transferred to PDC, but as seen in the PDC Report - 1-11-6 - PDC commissioners rejected transfer of title.

See the Public Comments going back to 1978 re the relocation of Saturday Market.
