Fire Station Relocation Project
I have filed (4-3-6) an opposition to the Fire Station relocation. Main portion and exhibits divided into two sections (Exhibits A - F & Exhibits G - J) for easier viewing and downloading.

Fire station #1 Relocation Development Strategy, Executive Summary (circa latter part of 2003). What is interesting is that the report discusses the need, or not, to relocate the fire station. Also, the Globe Hotel's future is discussed. So too discussed is the seismic issue.

Fire Station #1 Relocation Real Estate/Economic Impact Full Report (April 2004). This is an interesting read especially given the rationale for moving the station. Because this is a large report I have broken it down into 4 sections as in the report: Executive Summary, Impact Analysis, Residential Development Analysis, & Parking Analysis.

Fire Station 1 Service Area. Notice in a Block 8 location - the fire equipment still uses Naito Parkway south to get to its east of the river area. Arguably it increases the response time.
Globe Hotel - a contributing structure (in the historic sense) located on the remaining portion of block 8 not presently slated to be occupied by a relocated fire station.
