Traffic II - Traffic I

PDOT Traffic statistics, e.g., high collisions ranking. See the traffic calming studies and reports page. For whatever reason the links to reports are non-operative and have been that way for some time. But the pages are still good for definitions and the like.

Recent data from PDOT concerning W Burnside and W Couch; these ought to be considered with other data that is shown below:

Crashes - 4 years - 2001 to 2004 where the number of crashes are 6 to 19.

W Burnside Data Summary - 2nd to 14th - 10 years - 1995 through 2004 - very comprehensive and broken out in the various years as well as summaries.

NW Couch Data Summary - 2nd to 14th - 10 years - 1995 through 2004 - very comprehensive and broken out in the various years as well as summaries.

NW Everett Data Summary - 2nd to 14th - 10 years - 1995 through 2004 - very comprehensive and broken out in the various years as well as summaries.

PDOT Traffic Count page, Data taken from PDOT and reorganized for two areas: W Burnside; Couch.

2001 - 2004 High Collision Intersections Ranked List (07/17/06).

PDOT - Top 100 pedestrian involved accidents. 18 year traffic incidents involving pedestrians - years 1985 to 2002. This is raw statistics not necessary meant to promote a conclusions. There is a ranking for the top 100, but no indication of individual year statistics.

Collision Statistics for 1996 - 2001 for W Burnside - Data taken from PDOT data. Data extracted and rearranged to present only W Burnside statistics.

Collision Statistics for 1999 - 2002 for City of Portland. Again - the data is not meant to produce a conclusion, but is useful for some absolute numbers, e.g., traffic volume. One needs to look at all of the statistics and each column to get a real feel where their particular intersection stands.

E.g., the #1 has a rate of 2.54 with a total collisions of 68 and traffic volume of 19651. # 2 has a rate of 2.51 but look at the total collisions of 21 but a traffic volume of 6,147.

High Accident Location List 1994 - 1997. Breaks it out for 4 years; fairly decent way of presenting data; ranking is worse @top to best.
